Bounty of the season

Sunday was spent smoking and canning tuna. Like everything, you must take advantage of the season's bounties at the proper time. This will taste good this winter. I think I feel the need to do this hearkens back to a time before time when this one done for survival, not necessarily enjoyment.

I couldn't agree more. The seasons can be powerful if we resist the urge to live a life insulated from them. Perhaps because it gets darker earlier we should go to bed earlier? Perhaps because the apples are so ripe they're falling of the trees we should eat them? Perhaps the salmon spawning means we should pursue them? The seasons are powerful if we just listen to them.

Sounds like you are. :)
